Troll#
One troll is a rumor. A tribe is weather.
Trolls are tall desert people who go where their tribe goes. They're strong, quick and hard to hurt, but charisma 8 means they rarely talk anyone into anything.
How they live#
A troll’s family is their tribe, and the tribe moves together. Trolls carry their mother’s name as a middle name, which is the one way a commoner gets away with three names.
- Temper
- Violent when pushed. In hard times they turn on whoever is nearest, kin included.
- Leaving
- When a city turns bad they leave as warbands behind whoever is strongest.
- Money
- Spend whatever they have.
- Crowds
- Like some room around them.
- Tongue
- Trollish, spoken from birth and known perfectly, besides common.
- Children
- Only with other trolls.
What others say#
Trolls don't make friends. They take you into the tribe or they don't, and there's no third thing.
They're family to each other and furniture to everyone else.
Where they live#

Playing a troll#
Any race can take any class. These are the ones trolls start closest to, with the race’s starting score in each of the class’s two stats.
Taken in
A troll tribe passing through Narsis decides one of the party is family, which comes with a mother’s name, a hundred cousins and every one of the tribe’s feuds.
Names#
Long, open vowels on soft m, b and n. A troll name rolls out slowly and never stops short. Mbaru Tooma Saltwell, Lumoru Kaba Dunewalker, Zumaya Bomene Stardrum.
